- Police look for attempted drive-by shooter
<p><span>Police have found a suspect in an attempted shooting around 1:45 p.m. Saturday on Samuel Street. </span></p>
<p><span>No one was hit, but the suspect was a later involved in an accident at South Smithville Road and Argella. The suspect crashed into a truck. The truck then crashed into a pole. The suspect took off and at last report was holed up in a house in the 4200 block of Farnham. </span></p>
<p><span>Armed police have surrounded the house. They have escorted a small girl, a man and a woman from the house, according to a neighbor. </span></p>
<p><span>There is no word yet on what led to the attempted shooting. </span></p>

<p>Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced Saturday his office has filed charges against a Celina woman regarding an area break-in of a local business. Mandi L. Gibbons, age 31, of 632 Grove Street #9, Celina, is currently being held in the Mercer County Detention Center on charges of breaking and entering and theft, both felonies of the fifth degree.</p>
<p>"Gibbons has admitted to stealing over $1,000 in metal tent stakes from Reliable Rental, Inc. in Celina. The business reported the theft on January 20 and deputies responded and took a report. Information was obtained placing Gibbons at the scene in the days following and also information regarding the disposal and sale of the stolen items," said Sheriff Grey.</p>
<p>On Thursday, during an interview at the Sheriff’s Office, Gibbons admitted to the theft and disposal of the items at a local salvage yard. "Gibbons was taken into custody and incarcerated at the Mercer County Jail," noted Grey.</p>
<p>Her vehicle that was used in the theft offense was towed from the Sheriff’s Office and impounded. The vehicle contains other items that are believed to stolen, including a large amount of farm machinery and pieces of farm machinery and other equipment.</p>
<p>Gibbons appeared in Celina Municipal Court on Friday and was ordered held on a $5,000 cash bond.</p>
- Two dead in Butler County crash
<p>Two people are confirmed dead after a car became lodged under a semi Saturday morning. It happened at 9842 International Boulevard in an office/industrial park just west of I-75. <p>Police are looking for someone who busted a side window and stole items at the CVS Pharmacy, 1785 Woodman Drive, around 3 a.m.</p>
<p>A man dressed in all camouflage broke the glass and crawled into the business early this morning. Police said the suspect was in and out of the location in about a minute. The burglar fled the scene in a silver or light blue early 90's model Chevrolet vehicle.</p>
<p>It is unknown what the suspect took from the store, but police hope surveillance tape will help them find out what is missing.</p>

<p>Two cars collided in the 2500-block of Old Troy Pike around 11:15 p.m. Friday and one driver may have been driving under the influence, police said.</p>
<p>A silver Lincoln Towne Car was travelling west on Old Troy Pike when a man driving a red Grand Am drove left of center and crashed into the car.</p>
<p>Three children under the age eight were inside the Lincoln Towne Car, along with two adults, but nobody was seriously injured.</p>
<p>The driver of the Grand Am is 32-year-old Jose Zhingri, who is currently in the Montgomery County Jail. He is facing OVI charges.</p>
